Question by overkill_tester: Is giving a gift to a co-worker of the opposite sex appropriate?
I am a male and I want to give her a gift for her birthday. Will she think I have some kind of feelings for her? Would it be appropriate to give her such a gift? She also got a promotion and really did a lot of good things for the company. She accomplished one of her goals she wanted to do. I just want to reward her in my own personal way.
I don't think the other male co-workers would be doing something like that nor her male co-workers she usually hangs around with and are considered her friends.

I don't think it is inappropriate at all - it's her birthday, won't she be getting gifts off other people too?
Just don't choose wrapping paper with hearts on and don't put 'love from' in the card. Put 'kind regards' or something businesslike.

1st song off of Weezer's Red Album! Now I decided "Whoa, this need lyrics" so I drank some coffee, broke five pencils, and let the copy and paste process do the talking. God, that was a lot of work! (No, I'm just being easy. lol) Here's the lyrics! Put me in a special school, Cause I am such a fool, And I don't need a single book to teach me how to read. Who needs stupid books? They are for petty crooks, And I will learn by studying the lessons in my dreams! So turn off the TV Cause that's what others see And movies are as bad as eating chocolate ice-cream! They only sicken me, Don't let me play football! I'll sack the quarterback and jack the brother of the ball! I'm a troublemaker Never been a faker Doing things my own way And never giving up I'm a troublemaker Not a double-taker I don't have the patience to keep it on the up. I picked up a guitar, What does this signify? I'm gonna play some heavy metal riffs and you will die! You wanted arts and crafts? How's this for arts and crafts? Wuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh That's Right! I'm growing out my hair. I'm moving out to Cherokee, I'm gonna be a rockstar, And you will go to bed with me! Cause I can't work a job, Like any other slob, Punching in and punching out and suckin' up to Bob! Marrying a Bee-atch Having seven kee-ads Giving up and growing old, And hopin' there's a god!
